Kennedys at State Dinner with Indian Prime Minister Nehru
This photograph by Robert Knudsen shows President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy entering the White House with Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter, Indira Gandhi. Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and Gandhi were attending a State Dinner held in their honor. Gandhi would later become India's third prime minister.
