Daniel Schmucker joined the Association in January 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park and obtained an advanced degree in Event Management from George Washington University. Soon after, he put his knowledge and skills to work as a corporate event planner at USA TODAY. Following that experience, Daniel developed a private event consultancy business while raising his family. Before coming to WHHA, Daniel spent over 8 years planning a wide array of special events, academic conferences, and ceremonies at Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School and the University’s Development and Alumni Relations Division.
