Chandler Battaile
Associate Vice President, Development
Chandler Battaile joined the White House Historical Association staff in February, 2018 as Associate Vice President, Development. He has had an interest in history, architecture and antiques since he was a child. After years of volunteering for historic preservation organizations, he decided to turn his avocation into his vocation. He has spent the last 20+ years as a development officer, primarily for institutions dedicated to history and historic preservation. This includes Preservation Virginia, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Stratford Hall, Historic Richmond Foundation and the Society of the Cincinnati, of which he is a member. Chandler is related to two U.S. Presidents - Presidents James Madison and Zachary Taylor. He is a native of Mississippi and graduated from the University of Mississippi.
