Conferences & Symposia

The White House Historical Association is committed to fostering historical understanding and appreciation of the Executive Mansion through conferences and symposia for like-minded institutions. Partnering with foreign embassies in Washington, D.C., the Association hosted an annual symposium from 2016-2018. Since 2018, the Association has hosted a colloquium followed the next year by a symposium on a particular White House topic. In August of 2018, the Association hosted the first Presidential Sites Summit, where leaders of our shared presidential history convened to share innovative ideas and discuss insight into the management and outreach of presidential libraries, historic homes, and museums.
